1. 입력 — what we use

생년월일, 태어난 시간, 태어난 곳, 그리고 성별. 시간을 모르면 시주 없이 여섯 글자로 계산하고 그 사실을 결과에 그대로 표시합니다. 성별은 대운(10년 주기)의 진행 방향을 정하는 전통 규칙에만 쓰입니다 — 없으면 대운을 추측하지 않고 비워 둡니다.

Birth date, time, place, and sex. An unknown time yields a six-character chart with the hour pillar left visibly open — never silently substituted. Sex is used only for the traditional rule that sets the direction of the 10-year cycles; without it, the cycles are omitted rather than guessed.

2. 명식 계산 — how the pillars are constructed

연주와 월주는 절기(solar terms)를 기준으로 셉니다. 절기는 특정 시각에 일어나는 천문 사건이므로, 이 서비스는 절기를 정확한 시각으로 계산해 시간대와 무관하게 같은 결과가 나오도록 합니다. 일주와 시주는 출생지의 시각으로 셉니다.

태어난 곳을 입력하면 경도를 이용해 진태양시(true solar time)를 적용합니다. 이 보정은 시주를 바꿀 수 있을 만큼 중요합니다. 출생지가 없으면 표준시로 계산하고, 그 사실을 명식과 분석서에 함께 적습니다. 임의의 기준 경도를 몰래 대입하는 일은 없습니다.

Year and month pillars follow the exact instants of the solar terms; day and hour pillars follow local birth time, adjusted to true solar time when a birthplace is provided. Without a birthplace, standard time is used and the result says so. No fallback longitude is ever invented.

3. 구조 분석 — what is read from the chart

원국에서 확인하는 것: 일간(모든 해석의 기준), 드러난 글자의 오행 분포(개수 그대로 — 강약 판정이 아닙니다), 십성의 자리, 지지 사이의 관계(합·충·형·해·파), 그리고 현재 대운·세운과 원국의 겹침. 이 구조 신호들이 해석이 말할 수 있는 범위를 정합니다.

From the chart we read: the Day Master, the visible element distribution (a count, never a strength verdict), the positions of the Ten Gods, the relations between branches, and how the current cycles overlap the natal chart. These structural signals define what an interpretation may say.

4. 해석 — how the writing is bounded

분석서의 모든 문장은 3번에서 확인된 구조에 근거해야 합니다. 근거 없는 주제(예: 명식에 재물 신호가 없는데 재물 이야기를 하는 것)는 자동 검수에서 걸러지고, 분석서에는 각 해석이 기댄 근거가 함께 실립니다. 완성된 분석서는 검수를 통과해야만 전달됩니다.

Every sentence must rest on a verified structural signal; writing that reaches beyond the chart is rejected in review, and each report carries its own evidence. A report is delivered only after passing that review.

5. 하지 않는 것 — what this service does not claim

명리학은 오랜 전통을 가진 해석의 틀이며, 이 서비스는 그 틀을 정직하게 계산하고 정직하게 적용합니다. 그러나 과학적으로 증명된 예측 체계라고 주장하지 않습니다. 운명을 단정하지 않고, 의학적·재정적·법적 판단을 대신하지 않으며, 신강·신약이나 용신처럼 아직 계산하지 않는 개념을 아는 척하지 않습니다. 화면의 천문도는 한국 천문 전통에서 영감을 받은 시각 언어일 뿐입니다. 별의 위치가 아니라 출생 정보와 절기·역법 규칙으로 계산합니다.

Four Pillars is a traditional interpretive framework — applied here with honest calculation, but never presented as scientific proof or certainty. No fate claims, no medical, financial or legal advice, and no pretending to concepts the engine does not compute. The star chart on screen is a visual language inspired by Korea's celestial-chart heritage; the chart is computed from birth data and calendrical rules (solar terms, true solar time), never from star positions.
