Strictly necessary

Set without asking, because the service you requested does not work without them.

• convergence_session (cookie, HttpOnly, up to 365 days): a random signed token that ties your order and its status page to your browser, so nobody can open your reading by guessing an id. Removed when you use Delete data.
• Order draft (browser session storage, until the tab closes): keeps what you typed if you go to payment and come back.
• convergence_consent_v1 (browser local storage, 180 days): remembers whether you accepted or rejected usage statistics.

Preferences

• convergence_lang (cookie and local storage, 365 days): the language you chose, so the site opens in it next time.

Creator discount

• convergence_ref (cookie, HttpOnly, 30 days): set only when you arrive through a creator's link. It holds the creator code and campaign so the 20% first-order discount you came for is applied at checkout, and so the creator is credited for the sale. It contains nothing about you.

Usage statistics (optional)

Only if you accept them in the banner, we record which steps of the site were reached: page opened, topic chosen, delivery speed chosen, order placed, payment completed, and the language. These are stored on our own servers for 90 days and are never shared with advertising networks. Birth details, questions, email addresses and reading text are never included. Rejecting works exactly like accepting for everything else on the site, and you can change your mind from 'Privacy choices' in the footer.

Third parties

Payment happens on a page hosted by Stripe. Stripe may set its own cookies on that page for fraud prevention and to operate checkout; these are governed by Stripe's cookie policy, not ours. We do not run advertising, marketing or social-media tracking cookies.
